According to a study certain tests and researchers were made
regarding the efficiency and safety involved while taking the
resperidone while treating the patients suffering from
schizophrenic. The results of the tests were quite satisfactory to
certain extend. They showed clinical improvement by the 35% patients
consuming 2mg of risperidone.
The number varied unevenly as it was observed as 58% who take 6mg of
the drug, 40% who took 10mg while 52% taking 16mg of
risperidone.When compared to other medicines taken for the same
purpose the tests concluded that risperidone is more effective than
any other medication against both positive and negative problems and
symptoms faced by the schizophrenia.
Resperidone is available in various forms like the tablet, liquid
syrup and also in the form of disintegrating tablet. This drug
requires special care when taken. It should be taken at the same
time every day. It is usually prescribed as one once or twice the
day.Resperidone should be taken as advised by the doctor. Some are
directed top take after meals while some before the meal.
Care should be taken regarding these small things as they help to
avoid unnecessary side effects. The oral medication of the drug can
be taken with any liquid like water juice or milk. High fat milk,
cola, tea and coffee should be avoided. This drug is more beneficial
in controlling the problem rather curing the condition. Thus takes
time to show its effect. It may appear that the symptoms are
vanishing but the medicine should be stopped only after consulting
the doctor.
